Why I want to be a teacher...

I became interested in teaching when my family and I were overseas, and I took on the role of stay-at-home-mom for 5 years. As my husband was working as an active duty soldier, I successfully prepared my children for kindergarten and pre-school. Seeing them learn is such a privilege, and knowing that I helped them is like a relief that I am also winning at parenting. I am eager to learn how to help them and other younger children succeed, and education seems like the perfect fit. At this point in my life, the elementary age is my favorite age, and I am most interested in focusing on their demographic.

I am seeking to fulfill two goals in the coming years. The first is to obtain my degree in education, and the other is to be a teacher. With every education class I take, I am further entranced with the profession. My Technology in Education class has really made me look forward to the endless possibilities of delivering lessons, classroom interaction, and using technology in general.
